The six Chambers in the region have been delivering DIT (formally UKTI) international trade services since 1996. Initially individually via Export Development Counsellors based within the Business Link network, then in 2006 the Chambers came together to form a joint-venture Limited Liability Partnership, West Midlands International Trade LLP in order to simplify the contracting and delivery of international trade services in the region.
The model remains in place today employing 38 International Trade Advisers across the region.
West Midlands International Trade LLP is a wholly owned subsidiary of West Midlands Chambers of Commerce LLP.
